Muracci's is more than a Japanese restaurant. It's a family story built on tradition, patience, and a passion for sharing the comforting flavors of home.
Founded by husband and wife Yasuyuki and Tamiko Murata, Muracci's has been serving authentic Japanese comfort food in downtown San Francisco since 2000. With more than 60 years of combined culinary experience, they brought the recipes, techniques, and warm hospitality they grew up with in Osaka to create a place where every guest feels welcome.
What began as a dream to share authentic Japanese cuisine has grown into a local favorite known for its rich curry, freshly prepared meals, and genuine family hospitality.

Muracci's was named after the nickname of the Murata family's son, making the restaurant a true reflection of our family. Even today, the smiling face in our logo serves as a reminder of the joy, warmth, and care we hope every guest experiences with each visit.
